Circuits are made up of different connections. They are connected with each other to act as one. Electrical equipment like radio or television use many tiny circuits that is made up with tiny strips of metal. For computers, thousands of microscopic circuits are placed into a chip.

Make it work

Some circuits are made on a circuit board. The wires are placed with enough space to avoid touching with one another. If the connection is set-up correctly it will complete the circuit and the bulb will light up.

You will need

  • wire
  • battery
  • bulb and bulb holder
  • stick-on Velcro tape
  • alligator/paper clips
  • stiff cardboard
  • paper fasteners
  • buzzer

Procedures:

  1. Prepare a piece of cardboard for your quiz board. Place the paper fastener in a row in each side of the cardboard. On the front of the cardboard, stick strips of Velcro backing tape next to each paper fastener.
  2. Create a question and answer cards. Stick them with Velcro tape and place them in random order. Wire each question to the correct answer at the back of the board.
  3. Set up the battery, bulb, wires, and clips.
  4. On the question side, touch a testing wire to one of the paper fasteners. Match it up with an answer on the other side. Once you picked the correct answer, the electrical circuit will be completed and the bulb will light up.
